Lineville Headlight
J. D. Patterson, 78 died at the home of his son, Newton Patterson, At 104 Percy 
Street Sunday morning at 10:20 after an illness of several days. He had made his 
home with his son since last spring having come here from Lineville. The funeral 
service was held at the Olive Branch church, Monday afternoon at 2:30, Rev. B W 
Matthews officiating. Interment was at Olive Branch cemetery, Usrey in charge. 
Active pallbearers were: Arthur Foster, Lyman Grogan, Jack Deason, B.T. Horn, 
John Ben Hayes and John D Hill. He is survived .by six sons, Sam. Luther and Zack 
of Lineville; Arthur and Oscar of Linden, N.J. and Newton of Talladega, and two 
daughters, Mrs. B. F Ballard of Anniston, and Mrs. C M Carpenter of Toledo, OH.
