E. Patterson of this place died last Thursday evening, the 13th fast at 3 o'clock. He had been confined to his bed for several weeks with fever, and was improving rapidly, when a relapse proved fatal. Vance was an excellent boy, and had as many friends as he had acquaintances, and his death will be keenly felt with all who knew him. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. R. A. Spear, of Lineville, Friday at 4 o'clock, p. m. following. A striking feature of which was the pallbearers who consisted of the dead boy's intimate friends and school mates, none of whom were over fourteen years of aged. The family have the sympathies of all our people who evoke God's blessings upon the two sons and daughter of the same family who are now battling with the scorching pongs of typhoid.
