Ashland Progress
Mr. Arthur M. Patterson passed away at his residence on Cragford Rt. 1, on May 
19th at the age of 72. Final rites for Mr. Patterson were held at Bethel Church 
on May 20th at 2 p.m. with Reverends W. R. Ingram, Grady Birchfield and Elmon 
Mattox officiating. Blair Funeral Heme directing. Interment was in church 
cemetery. Pallbearers were Herman Patterson, Jesse Patterson, Thurman Patterson, 
Arthur Patterson Jr., Clifton Patterson, Clyde Mitchell. He is survived by six 
sons, Homer, Cragford; Herman, Bemis-ton; Jesse, Talladega; Thurman, Tuscaloosa; 
Arthur Jr. and Clifton Cragford. Five daughters, Mrs. Corbin Shelton, Tarance, 
Col.; Mrs. Billy Joe Johnson, Talladega; Mrs. Clyde Mitchell, Bemiston; Mrs. 
Buddy Ford, Talladega; Mrs. Mary Estes, Florida.
