Mrs. Mable Clara Patterson, 76, of Lineville, Rt. 3, died Monday in a local 
hospital after a short illness. Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Mineral 
Springs Methodist Church with the Rev. Hobart Murphree officiating. Burial will 
be in the church cemetery with Blair-Brock Funeral Home in charge. Survivors 
include a daughter, Mrs. Mary Ann Richardson of Oxford; a sister, Mrs. Annie 
Laura Johnson of Plantersville; two brothers, Hayden Griffitt of Talladega and 
Fall Griffitt of Childersburg; four grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren. 
Pallbearers will be William Griffitt, Warren Foster, Melvin R. Hayle, Jimmy R. 
Dingler, Donnie Griffitt and E. P. Jones. Mis. Patterson was a native of 
Talladega County but had lived a number of years in Clay County. She was the 
wife of the late J. S. Patterson. The body will remain at the funeral home until 
one hour prior to services.
