Ashland Progress
William D. Patterson, resident of Pyriton, died at a Tuscaloosa hospital 
Saturday, June 30th. The funeral was held from Mineral Springs Church Monday at 
11:00 a.m., with Rev. Hobart Murphy conducting with burial in the adjoining 
cemetery, Blair Funeral directors in charge. He was one of a family of eleven 
children only four surviving ones, two brothers, J. S. and G. H. Patterson; two 
sisters, Mrs. Mattie Johnson and Mrs. Etta Willingham. Pallbearers were Homer N. 
Patterson, Jack Owen, Othis Whatley, Frank Patterson, Wayron Foster and W. T. 
Pritchett.
