Mrs. Beatrice Hanson Patterson, age 74, mother of Woodfin Patterson, principal of 
Five Points School, passed away following a heart attack on Saturday, May 10. She 
was a resident of Cragford Route 1 and had lived her entire life in Clay County. 
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 11, at 3 p.m. from Bethel Baptist Church 
where she had been a member for 60 years. Services were conducted by Rev. Grady 
Birchfield. Surviving are six sons, Dewey, Bruce and Grady Patterson, Ashland, 
Route Russell Patterson, Birmingham; Woodfin Patterson, Five Points and Aubrey 
Patterson, Livingston; three daughters, Mrs. Gwendolyn Hitchcock and Mrs. Myrtle 
Blevens, Atlanta and Mrs. Lois Vickers, Hackneyville.
