Ashland Progress
Report reached Ashland Tuesday morning that Jim Peek who resided near Cragford 
was found dead Tuesday morning and a request was made for an inquest to be held. 
The lines being down it has been impossible to find and out the details, but the 
report was that it was thought to be case of suicide caused by a temporarily 
unbalanced mind.

A report reached herE late Tuesday night that James Peek, about 35, member of a 
prominent family of this county, had commuted suicide at his home near Cragford 
by shooting himself with a revolver. He survived by a wife and several children.
