Anniston Star
Let Pettus, age 72, died at his home, Anniston, Route 3, last night after having 
been ill for several months. Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock in the 
morning at the West End Baptist church with the Rev. Lawrence Dishman 
officiating. Interment will be in the Concord Cemetery Clay County with Usrey 
directing. Surviving are the widow; two daughters Mrs. L. R. Nunnally, Anniston, 
and Mrs. Elsie Patterson of New York City; six sons, J. B., W. M., I. H, and E. 
E. Pettus, all of Anniston, W. L. Pettus, New York City, and G. D. Pettus, 
Heflin: two Sisters. Mrs. Lula Sims, Birmingham, and Mrs. Jennie Sprayberry, 
Ashland; one brother, A. L. Pettus, Ashland; and 12 grandchildren and one great 
grandchild.
