Virgil Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Lineville Community Cemetery with Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary of Talladega in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services. Mr. Phillips died Friday at his home. Survivors include his mother, Mary Ruth Burney Phillips of Lineville; two sisters, Minnie Ford and Minnie Caldwell, both of Lineville; a brother, Luther Phillips of Lineville; and two grandmothers, Thelma Fleming of Lineville and Savannah Burney of Douglasville, Ga. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Caldwell, Michael Ford, Terry Zachery, Jerome Wilson, Dwayne Garrett and Clifford Heflin. Mr. Phillips, a 1981 graduate of Lineville High School, was a member of Young's Chapel United Methodist Church. He was employed as a mechanic for the past five years at Shaddix Pulpwood Company. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie D. Fleming, and his stepfather, Floyd Phillips. Additional Comments: Born Sep 25, 1962.
