People's Part
The little 3-year-old son of Judge and Mrs. Phillips after near two weeks 
intense suffering died at 9 :30 ,o'clock p. m., Friday, Its death had been 
expected for several days by its ministering physician and those who were by its 
bed-side, because of its weakness and serious condition, The little fellow had 
lived only about three summers and had just learned to talk thus affording great 
interest and company to its loving parents, and it was indeed sad for there to  
part with little LaFayette. The Advocate joins with the many friends of the 
Judge and his wife to extending our profound sympathies to them in this their 
sad hour of grief and sorrow. The funeral service were conducted by Rev. R. A. 
Speer, of Lineville at the Baptist church, after which the remains of the dear, 
little boy were laid to rest in the cemetery here.
