Lineville Headlight
Thack Phillips, a well-known citizen of Coleta Beat, shot and killed himself with 
a shot gun Tuesday morning at 7 o'clock. The report of the occurrence reaching 
Lineville is to the effect that the deceased had gone out early Tuesday morning 
to kill a hawk near his home. As he returned to the house and entered the door, 
it is supposed that the gun either struck the door or some obstacle and exploded. 
The deceased had been engaged in sawmilling and the shingle business for several 
years.
