E. Mattox and Grady Birchfield. Interment was in adjoining cemetery, directed by Blair Funeral Home. Pallbearers were James Stewart, Junior Stewart, Jack Phipps, Lester Walker, Ted Walker, Donnie Herren. Mrs. Phipps passed away at Dadeville Convalescent Home on Aug. 9th at the age of 82. She is survived by three sons, Johnnie Phipps, Sebron Phipps, Opelika; Forest Phipps, Lanett; one stepson, Dewey Phipps, Ashland, three stepdaughters, Mrs. Adell Stewart, Miss Alice Phipps, Ashland Mrs. Gladys Reaves, Goodwater two brothers, Tolliver Walker, Wedowee Rt. Palmer Walker, Chattanooga nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; 25 great step grandchildren.
