Anniston Star
Lee Clark Pitts, 98, of Lineville, died Thursday at Clay County Hospital after a 
long illness. Services were scheduled for today at 2:30 p.m. at. Blair Funeral 
Home Chapel with the Rev. James Duke officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill 
Cemetery near Barfield. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Lula Spencer of 
Lineville, Mrs. Pauline McConnell of LaGrange, Ga., Mrs. Angela Smith of 
Talladega, and Mrs. Bertie Lou Graben of Hamilton; three, sons, Jesse Pitts of 
Alexander City, Curtis Pitts of Chattanooga, Tenn. Hollis Pitts of Houston, Tex.; 
a half-sister, Mrs. Cora Reynolds of Anniston; a brother, Arthur Clark of 
Lineville; 38 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great 
grandchildren.
