Pitts, 65, of Delta, Route 1 died at the Anniston Memorial Hospital at nine o'clock Saturday night as the result of injuries received when he was struck by truck near Delta three hours earlier. Funeral services were held at the Shiloh-Delta Baptist Church this afternoon at two o'clock with the Rev. Ben Jackson officiating. Burial took place in the adjoining cemetery Usrey in charge. Mr. Pitts is survived by his widow and four sons Robert S., James E., Albert d., of Delta, George S. of the U. S. Army in the Pacific theater of operations three daughters, Mrs. Nellie Woodbury of Dexter, Zelma arid Joyce of Delta, one sister Mrs. Bessie Hill of Lineville, Mrs. Dussie Young and Mrs. Lula White, all of Wedowee; two brothers, Dillard F. Pitts of Shawmutt and Lee O. Pitts of Heflin.
