Anniston Star
Funeral services were held at the Macedonia church near Ashland for William 
Madison Poe, age 74. who died suddenly at his home at Oxford, Route 2, Wednesday 
night. The Rev, Mr. Goodwin officiated at the services. Interment was in the 
church cemetery with Jones in charge. Pallbearers were Cecil Smith, John Peek, B. 
Johns, Rufus Reaves Curtis Emerson and Allen Roberts. Surviving Mr. Poe are three 
sons, A. T. of Oxford, E. C. of Best, Tex, and Nelson of Sylacauga.
