Ashland Progress
The remains of W. W. Powell who died in a hospital in Tuscaloosa on Sept.
25, were brought back to Lineville for burial on the 27th. Funeral services were 
conducted at the residence by Rev. Guy Wallace, assisted by Rev. Vickers.
Interment was in the Lineville cemetery. Blair directing. The deceased is 
survived by two sons, R. L. Powell, of Lineville, and Griffith Powell of 
Birmingham; two daughters, Miss Erna Powell, Lineville, and Mrs. Maude Jenkins, 
of Birmingham. Pallbearers were H. D. Riley, Otis McCain, Jake McCollum, J. 
Thomas Bell, Clyde Stewart, Charlie Coleman.
