Mrs. Hattie Lee Powers, 80, of Talladega, Rt. 4, died Saturday at Clay County 
Hospital, Services will be Monday at 3 p.m. at Clairmont Springs Baptist Church 
with the Rev. M. G. Coefield officiating, Burial will be in the adjoining 
cemetery with Usrey Funeral Home in charge.  Survivors include a son, W. C. 
Powers of Munford; two sisters, Mrs. May Welborne of Atlanta, Ga., and Mrs. Pearl 
Carpenter of Chicago, Ill.  two brothers, Lonnie Horn of Talladega and Matt Horn 
of Mobile; and six grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Benny L. Powers, George T. 
Powers, Jerry L. Powers, Mike Putt, Lavelle Horn and Merrell Horn. Mrs. Powers 
was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County, and a member of Clairmont 
Springs Baptist Church.
