Hayes M. Pruitt, 70 of 606 Lavor St., San Antonio, Texas, died Friday morning at 
St. Benedict Hospital there. Services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Usrey Chapel 
in Talladega with the Rev. Lubie Lipham officiating. Burial will be in Union D 
Baptist Cemetery in Clay County with Usrey Funeral Home in charge. Survivors 
include three daughters, Mrs. Rebecca Sanchez of San Antonio, Miss Meralene 
Pruitt of Talladega and Mrs. Faye Wyatt of Munford; one son David W. Pruitt of 
San Antonio; one sister, two brothers and three grandchildren. Pallbearers will 
be Jerry Williams, Carl Williams, Danny Williams, George Williams, Lewis Price 
and James Price. Mr. Pruitt was a native of Kentucky and lived most of his life 
in the Talladega area. He was a member of the Westside Baptist Church in 
Talladega.
