Ashland Progress
Funeral services for Lon J. Railey, 59, were conducted Mar. 3rd from Motley 
Church with Rev. Tapley, Alexander City and Rev. Gore, Wadley, officiating, 
Interment was in adjoining cemetery, Blair in charge. Mr. Railey was a native of 
Tallapoosa County, born August 22, 1894. The deceased passed away March 2nd, at 
his home on Wadley, Rt. One. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Herbert E. 
Railey and Hubert Railey; and one daughter, Myra Railey, of Wadley Rt. One Four 
brothers and one sister. Pallbearers were Talmadge, Bud, Leldon, Shaffer, Doyle 
and Joe Railey, Worth Dunaway and Roy Dunaway.
