Ashland Progress
Mrs. Polley Ray, widow of the late A. F. Ray, died at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
O. L. Childs in the McDaniel's' Chapel community on March 25, following a long 
illness. Funeral services were held at McDaniel's Chapel on the 26th, conducted 
by W. B. Nolen. The deceased was 70 years of age and is survived by one sister, 
Mrs. Lizzie Joiner, and a large number of other relatives. She had been a member 
of the Mellow Valley Baptist church for a long time.
