Clyde Latham and the Rev. Mac Forbes Officiating. Burial was in Lineville City Cemetery with Blair-Brock Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Reeves died Thursday at Clay County Hospital after a long illness. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Nell Carpenter of Anniston; two sons, James C. Reeves and Elton Reeves, both of Lineville, four sisters, Mrs. Weda Alexander, Mrs. Irene Graben, Mrs. Jessie Crews and Mrs. Chessie Purser, all of Lineville; a brother, Elvin Mathews of Lineville; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Larry Carpenter, Bobby Crenshaw, Roger Gaither, Bryant McCord, Bill Alexander, Jerry Alexander, Conrad Graben and Lindsey Denson. Mrs. Reeves was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County and a retired schoolteacher, who taught at Barfield Junior High t School for 35 years. She was a member of the Clay County Retired Teachers Association and Barfield Baptist Church.
