Mrs. A. J. Reid, who has been afflicted for a longtime and crucially ill, for a 
number of weeks, died at her home in Ashland near 12:00 o'clock, on the night of 
the 3. She was a lady of the highest type of Christianity, whose, good deeds shed 
a halo of glory around her life. She leaves a large family to mourn her loss and 
an extrusive circle of friends who are numbered by her acquaintances to. 
sympathize with the bereaved family. Brothers Driskill and Spear of Linville 
attended the funeral services and spoke many words of commendation with reference 
to the deceased of heart-felt, sympathy with family and friends and of 
encouragement to all Christians.
