Wiley Reid our brother was born May 5, 1827, in Walton County GA. He was married to Arminda Whitworth December 26, 1848. To him were born five sons and, five daughters. He was converted and joined the Missionary Baptist church in August 1878. He was free mason in good standing, was made a Master Mason in Lodge No 219, February 19,1881. He and his family moved from Ga to Ala, about the year 1870. He departed this life at his home 2 1/2 miles N. E. of Lineville, Clay County, Ala, August 9, 1900. The Funeral Services consisted of a Gospel sermon by Rev. J.R. Starghill and short talks by Revs. W. T. Davis and H.C. Knight, after which he was buried by his order of Free Masons.
