Ashland Progress
Funeral services for A. N. Rice of Randolph County were held at Wesley Chapel 
Sunday, Jan. 9. Mr. Rice was 89 years old. Rev. J. P. Bean officiated with Blair 
directing. He was born June 27, 1861 and died at his home Jan. 7, 1949. He is 
survived by three daughters and one son. Pallbearers were Blake Rice, George 
Mote, Thomas McDonald, Willie Walton, B. C. Neal and H. M. Bean
