Services for Mrs. Ida T. Rice, 86, of Ashland will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at 
Benefield Funeral Home of Lineville chapel with the Rev. Valter Taylor 
officiating. Burial will be in Clay County Memory Gardens. The family will 
receive friends at the funeral home until time of service. Mrs. Rice died 
Saturday at her home. Survivors include a son, Ray Rice of Alexander City; a 
sister, Mrs. Lela Calhoun of Woodland; a brother, Frank Taylor of Wedowee: a 
granddaughter; a grandson: and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be 
Rolland Mellon, Benny Taylor, Tracy Eason and Alan Taylor. Mrs. Rice was a 
Randolph County native and a Clay County resident for the past 47 years. She was 
a housewife and a member of Dingler's Chapel Christian Church.
