Ashland Progress
Mrs. Mary Ellen Rice, age 81, died at her home on Wadley March 2nd. Funeral 
services were held at the Motley Baptist Church March 4th, conducted by the Rev. 
Tapley. She is survived by three sons, C.P. of Langdale, J. W. and E. L.
of Wadley. Two daughters, Miss Emma and Miss Bertha of Wadley. Two brothers and 
two sisters, twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Pallbearers were 
her grandsons. Interment was in the church cemetery, with Blair in charge.
