Ashland Progress
Funeral services for D. W. Roberson, who died suddenly on June 23rd near his home 
in the Bluff Spring community were held on the 25th at his home, conducted by 
Rev. Will Sprayberry and Rev. Truman Burgess. Interment was in the Mt. Ararat 
cemetery, Blair in charge. Mr. Roberson is survived by his wife and six children, 
three sons, H. H., J. W. and W. J., of Talladega, and three daughter, Mrs. Joseph 
Jones of Ashland, Route 1, Mrs. C. R. Mathews of Ashland, Route 1, and Miss Cora 
Roberson of Route 1. The deceased was a lifelong member of the Baptist church. He 
was a loving father and husband and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
