Ashland Progress
The funeral services Mrs. Mary Denney Roberson were Monday, November 28, Moriah 
Church. Rev. E. L. conducted the services with Blair directing. The body was 
laid to rest in Mt. Arat cemetery. She was born in Cleburne County March 3, 
1879, she was married to D. W. Roberson in 1916. He proceeded her in death 6 
years ago. She died in the home of her brother, Frank Denney, in Mt. Zion 
Community Sunday night, November 27, where she had made her home for 5 years. 
She was 70 years old. She is Survived by 3 brothers, Jim Frank Denney, and Lee 
Denney, five stepchildren. Homer Roberson, Warner Roberson, Mrs. Eula Jones, 
Mrs. Eura Mathis, and Miss Cora Roberson. The following Nephews were 
Pallbearers: S. J. Denny, U. V. Denney, L. B. Denney, J. D. Denney. The Flower 
girls were: Dorothy Heath, Mary Etta Browning, Maureen Denney, Ethelene Denney, 
and Pauline Denney.
