Lineville Headlight
A tragedy that saddened the people of the Union community occurred last Sunday 
morning when1 a gun fell and blew out the brains of the baby of Mr. and Mrs. J. 
T. Roberts. The youngest children of Mr. and Mrs. Roberts were playing on a bed 
at the time the gun fell and the baby, only a few months old, was instantly 
killed, while the hand off another child was shot so that some of the fingers had 
to be amputated. It is supposed that this child had its hand on the baby's head 
at the time the gun was discharged. Mr. and Mrs. Roberts were it home, but out of 
the room when this terrible tragedy occurred. The sympathy of their friends goes 
out to, them in their bereavement.
