Mrs. Roberts had been in failing health for several years. She was 77 years, 10 months and 8 days old. She was a great Christian leader in her community. Her husband preceded her in death some 20 years. This good woman joined the M. E. church when 23 years old and was a consecrated member up until her death. She always believed in helping those who needed help. She leaves to mourn her going seven daughters and two sons, namely: Mrs. Charley Fetner, of Roanoke; Mrs. G. A. Padgett, of Cragford; Mrs. Grover Carter, of Cragford; Mrs. Tom Lashley, of Perry Ga., Mrs. Walter Gray, of Perry Ga., Mrs. C. S. Reese, of Texas; Mrs. Monroe Sparks, of Lineville; Mr. J. P. Roberts, of Thomaston Ga., and Rev. J. H. Roberts, of Munford. Mrs. Roberts had 56 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren, and some great-great-grandchildren. Funeral was conducted at Cragford Christian church Sunday at 2 p. m. by Rev. L. M. Harris, of Lineville, Rev. C. B. Martin, of Blocton, and Judge Garrison, of Ashland. Interment was at Wesobulga.
