Ashland Progress
Mr. Sam Roberson, one of the old and highly respected citizens of the county, 
died suddenly at his home in the Lystra community Sunday.  We are informed by 
friends that he was 87 years of age and had been residing in this community for 
perhaps a half century. He was a quiet and unassuming old gentleman of the 
pioneer type and was esteemed most by those who knew him best. He was a 
consistent member of the Baptist church, and his remains were interred in the 
burying grounds at Lystra church. A wife and several children survive him.
