Robertson died at his home at Pyriton early last Sunday morning, following an illness of several weeks. Mr. Robertson was one of the oldest citizens in the county. He was born at Barfield in 1862. Later he moved with his parents to Lineville where his father was engaged in the mercantile business. Shortly after Mr. Robertson married, he removed to Pyriton where for about 50 years he was engaged in the mercantile bust ness and farming. Mr. Robertson was a good citizen and will be sorely missed by his many friends throughout the county. Funeral services were held at Concord Baptist church, of which the deceased was a member, at eleven o'clock on Monday morning, conducted by Rev. S. C. Ray, assisted by Rev. Robert Ingram, and Rev. B. W. Mathews. Interment was in the Con cord cemetery, Blair directing. Pallbearers were Staten Tate, J. D. Birchfield, Cleve Campbell, Wilmer Carpenter, Tom Tinney, and Kinyon Langley. Mr. Robertson is survived by three daughters: Mrs. J. A. Shaddix of Ragland, Mrs. L. M. Bishop of Lineville, Mrs. E. E. Beck of Lincoln, and three sons: Willie Robertson of Anniston, Larcus Robertson of Edwardsville, and Blake Robertson of Ashland.
