Roanoke Leader
Nov. 4. A double funeral at Cragford Saturday was that of Mrs. Victoria Runyan 
and Mr. Hamp Padgett. They were second cousins. Mrs. Runyan died suddenly at the 
home of her son near Thomasville, Ga., Thursday. Her former home was at Cragford. 
She was a member of the Methodist church. She was 49 years old. Her husband and 
two daughters proceed her in death. Those that survive her are four sons two 
sisters, two brothers, a host of relatives and friends.  The joint funeral 
service was conducted by Rev. Homer Roberts, cousins of both the deceased, Rev. 
L. M. Harris, of Lineville, and Rev. C. B. Martin, pastor of the Baptist church. 
Interment was made in the Cragford cemetery.
