Funeral services for M-Sgt Russell Salers, 41. of Camp Gordon, Ga., will be held 
Wednesday at 2 p m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Clay County with the Rev. Artis 
Jones officiating. Burial will be in the adjacent cemetery with Gray Brown-
Service Mortuary in charge. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Arlis Salers; three 
children, Randy, Debra and Rex; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Odis Salers; five 
brothers, Dewey and John of Anniston, Thomas of Delta, Junior of Atlanta and 
George of Fort Riley, Kan., and five sisters, Mrs. Louise Parrish of Columbus, 
Miss., Mrs. Lydia Shaw of Anniston, Mrs. Verdie Lee Nelson of Delta, Mrs. Martha 
Jo Brown of Atlanta and Miss Glenda Sue Sanders of Delta. Pallbearers will be 
Marlin Bremon and Leroy Hunter, Leroy Nelson, Clinton Parrish and Leroy Shaw. 
MSgt. Salers Sgt. Salers, a former resident of Clay County, had served with the 
U. S. Army for 19 years.
