He had undergone operation for appendicitis Sunday and was thought to be doing nicely till few hours before death. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church with Revs Woodward, Ingram and Fleming conducting the services. The Boy Scouts were pallbearers one of the biggest gatherings ever assembled to pay tributes of respect, was present, and the greatest bank of flowers ever seen silently gave expression to the family and friends that a good little boy was loved and appreciated, not only by parents but by the whole community. He was laid to rest in the Lineville cemetery Wednesday evening while a pall of sorrow is felt so keenly here and among those in another neighborhood where he formerly lived.
