M. Scarbrough, who died May 2 at a local hospital were held from the chapel of Isbell-Finney Funeral home Monday morning at nine-forty- five with Isbell Finney directing. Mr. Scarbrough had been in ill health for several months. He is survived by two sons, Dr. B. C. Scarbrough. J. B. Scarbrough of Fresno, and two daughters, J. J. Walls of Alex City and Mrs. Robt. E. Martin of San Francisco, Calif. Interment was in the County Line Cemetery in Clay County. Pallbearers were B. M. Huling, F. H. Moody, A. Bolinger, J. W. Walker, J. P. Graham, and O. H. Finney. Alexander City Outlook: Monroe D. Scarbrough, 78, died Sunday morning, May 2, 1943, at the Sand Mountain Infirmary in Albertville. Funeral services were held Monday at the County Line Church in Clay County, and burial was in the adjoining cemetery, with the Rev. Mr. Haygood officiating. Mr. Scarbrough, who was born in Ashland in 1865, had made his home with his daughter, Mrs. J. J. Walls, of Alexander City, since the death of his wife, Mrs. Ida Miller Scarbrough. Survivors are two sons, Dr. B. C. Scarbrough, Albertville, and Jimmy Scarbrough, Fresno, and two daughters, Mrs. J. J. Walls, Alexander City, and Mrs. Clara Nell Martin, San Francisco, Calif.
