Lineville Headlight
Will Jones, colored, shot James Segars, colored, at Bradshaw's camp last Tuesday 
evening. Jones was an employee at Edgar's camp on the new Highway and bad 
feeling, was existing between them which led to the shooting. Jones fled 
immediately and has not been apprehended. It is said he is an ex-convict from 
Miss.  The wounded negro was rushed to Lineville for medical attention but died 
shortly after the operation. One shot took effect in the bowels and another in 
the arm while one shot missed him.
