James Duke officiating and Benefield Funeral Home of Lineville in charge. The body will be at the funeral home until time of services. Mrs. Saxon died Sunday in Alexandria after a long illness. Survivors include her husband, Fred Sexton of Alexandria two sons, Samuel Joiner of Alexandria and Nathan 0. Joiner of Warrior; two daughters, Mrs. Jean Youngblood of Hopewell, and Mrs. Betty Justice of Colorado; three sisters, Mrs. Nova C. McGlothlin of Illinois, Mrs. Mary Fuller of Birmingham and Mrs. Margaret C. Gionotti of Greensboro, N.C.; a brother, James Cofield of Greensboro; 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Sexton was a native of Boaz and a former resident of Clay County. She was a retired supervisor of the Montgomery County school system and was active in local, state and national science and astronomy societies. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Alexandria.
