Ashland Progess
Columbus Shaddix, a splendid citizen of the county, died at his home near Concord 
Saturday Dec 23rd and was buried on the following Monday, Rev F. J. Ingram 
conducting the funeral sei vices. He had been ill with pneumonia for about a 
week. He leaves a wife and five1 children.
