Anniston Star
Annie Haynes Shaddix, 79, of Bushnell, Fla., died Tuesday in Clermont, Fla., 
after a long illness. Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Good Hope Baptist 
Church in Delta with the Rev. John Whitstone officiating. Burial will be in the 
adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge. Survivors include a 
daughter, Mrs. Noreeri Gorham of Bushnell; two sons, Bayron Shaddix of Mulberry, 
Fla., and Jimmy Paul Shaddix of Miami. Fla.; her stepmother. Mrs. Vestula Haynes 
of Delta; six sisters. Mrs. Florida H. Harris of Lineville, Mrs. Molly Bearden 
of Wedowee, Mrs. Mindy Lee Phillips of Delta, Mrs. Evelyn Strickland. Mrs. 
Connie Walls and Mrs. Georgia Brooks, all of Anniston; four brothers. D. D. 
Haynes of Lineville, Ike Haynes of Bynum, Adell Haynes and C. A. Haynes, both of 
Delta. Mrs. Shaddix was a former resident of Clay County and a member of Good 
Hope Baptist Church in Delta.
