Ashland Progress
The many friends of Mr. Pierce Shaddix of Good Hope were sorely grieved to learn 
of his death early Saturday morning, and we extend sympathy to the bereaved ones. 
He lived in our community for several years and numbered his friends by his 
acquaintances for he was a good man. His funeral was conducted at Union church at 
10 o'clock Sunday morning by Rev. Cecil Harrington and he was laid to rest in 
Union cemetery with Blair directing.
