Anniston Star
Services for C.D. Shaddix, 67, of Delta. Rt. 1 were today at Benefield Funeral 
Home chapel with B.B. Finley officiating. Burial was in Delta Cemetery. Mr. 
Shaddix died Tuesday at Cleburne County Hospital after a long illness. Survivors 
include two daughters, Mrs. Joan Hughes of Weaver and Mrs. Judy Garrett of 
Americus, two sons, Charles W. Shaddix and Joseph Carter Shaddix, both of Bvnum: 
a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Howle of and nine grandchildren. Pallbearers were Charles 
Howle, Ronald Howle, Edward Lathan. Barney Latham, Ralph Carter and Frank 
Banister. Mr. Shaddix was a lifelong resident of Clay County and a retired 
construction worker.
