Leighton Anniston, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Clay County with the Rev. Lewis E. Bowen and the Rev. Bill Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Miller Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Shaddix died today at Stringfellow Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Myrtle N. Shaddix of Anniston; a daughter, Mrs. Myra Jean Patterson of Delta a son, Theron G. Shaddix of Oxford; a sister, Mrs. Myrtie Brooks of Delta; a stepbrother, Idus Shaddix of Anniston; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Arnold Brooks, Alfred Brooks, Baron Brooks, P.K. Brooks, Gilbert Daugherty and Edward Daugherty. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the adult Sunday school class of Mount Moriah Baptist Church. Mr. Shaddix was a native of Clay County who lived in Calhoun County for the past 35 years. He was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church and a retired automobile mechanic.
