H. Shad-dix. age 82 year, went back to the God who gave it. She was a kind, loving and precious mother. She was so kind and sweet to everyone. She was loved by all who knew her. In her heart was tender place for all. She loved her church and worked for it and attend cd church service and Sunday School regularly until January 4th, when she was stricken with a heart attack and was never well again. There is a vacant place in the home, church and community and hearts of her loved ones and friends that never be filled. Our dear Lorij needed another angel to sing in his Heavenly choir he took this precious mother and now we have another treasure in Heaven and may we all meet her Funeral services were held at the Concord Baptist church June 19, where she had been a member almost 70 years, conducted by the Revs. S. J. Ingram of Talladega, R. E. Owen of LaGrange, and J. L. Ingram of Ashland. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery with Blair directing. Active pallbearers were Lavell Gray, Grady Sims, Austin Burnette Garfield Hurst, Pelzer Owen and Wilmer Carpenter. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. J. M. Anders of Jacksonville, Mrs. H. Creed of Ragland; and eight sons, J. A. and D. N. Shaddix of Rag. land, R. A. L. and U. C. Shaddix of Pyriton, C. D. of Delta, Z. L. of Birmingham, and J. C. Shaddix of Montgomery. One sister and two brothers also survive. Mrs. J. W. Bishop of Pyriton and Swope What- ley of Lineville and Charlie Whatley of Goodwater, Texas. She is survived by 45 grandchildren and 33 great- grandchildren. Her precious husband, R. H. Shaddix, age 91 years, preceded her to the Great Beyond a little over two years.
