Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with the Rev. Bill Chilton officiating. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery in Clay County. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Thelma Shaddix of Bynum two daughters, Mrs. O. B. Sims of Bynum and Mrs. Robert Allen of Lincoln; three sons, Billy B. Shaddix of Oxen Hill, Hugo L. and Rubin J. Shaddix, both of Cocoa Beach, two sisters, Mrs. J. M. Anders of Jacksonville and Mrs. Nelma Creed of Ragland: a brother, Calbert Shaddix of Birmingham, 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be L. W. Ridenhour, Hoyt Smith, C. W. Rhinhart, W. F. Lipham, R. G. Canant and G. W. Hunt. A native of Clay County, Mr. Shaddix had lived in Bynum for 30 years. A veteran of World War he was a retired employe of the Anniston Army Depot and a member of Bynum Baptist Church. He was a member of VWF Post 924. The body will remain at the mortuary through the service.
