Anniston Star
Miss Conola Shaddix, 70, of Lincoln, Rt. 2, died Sunday at her residence. Funeral 
services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel with Elder B. B. 
Finley officiating. Burial will, be in Macedonia Cemetery. Survivors include four 
sisters, Mrs. Minnie S. Bishop and Miss Addie Shaddix, both of Lincoln, Mrs. 
America S. Bishop of Alex City and Mrs. John C. Bailey of Wadley; and a brother, 
Dr. Marion L. Shaddix of Gadsden. Miss Shaddix was a native of Clay County and 
lived in Talladega County the past 50 years. She was a member of Primitive 
Baptist Church and a member of Delta Kappa Gama of Auburn University. She was a 
schoolteacher for 49 years in Talladega County before retirement.
