Thursday. Young Shaddix suffered an operation recently, but apparently had been well on the road to recovery when he died suddenly. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Macedonia church near Ashland. Rev. Bruce Finley officiated, assisted by Elder H. H. Goodman and Elder Marion Shaddix of Eastaboga, his grandfather. Usrey was in charge. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Shaddix; one brother, Harry, of Ashland; one sister, Miss Marion Sue Shaddix of Lincoln. Young Shaddix had been for several years one of the outstanding young stock breeders of the county. Several months ago he appeared with other 4-H club members on a Kiwanis club program and impressed all who heard him with his poise and his knowledge of the subject on which he spoke.
