Anniston Star
Marion Burness Shirey, 60, of 20-C, Constantine Apts., Anniston, died Tuesday at 
Anniston Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Services were scheduled for 
today at 2 p.m. at Gray Brown Service Chapel with the Rev, O. V. Sewell 
officiating. Burial was in Concord Cemetery, Clay, County. Survivors include his 
wife, Mrs. Vonzelle Shirey; and several cousins. Mr. Shirey was a native of Clay 
County and had lived in Calhoun County the past 15 years., He was a member of 
First Baptist Church of Oxford and member of Anniston Chapter of Alabama 
Federation of the Blind. The body will remain at the mortuary, through the 
services

He was born Jul 2, 1913. He was the son of Tom & Fannie Shirey.
