Shirey, 84, of Roanoke, will be today at 3 p.m. at Shiloh Lineville Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Yarborough officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Lineville in charge. Mrs. Shirey died Friday at Randolph County Hospital after a long illness. Survivors include her husband, General Shirey of Clay County; five daughters, Mrs. Florence Duffle of Newell, Mrs. Annie Bell Gill of Cragford, Mrs. Alice Massey of Lineville, Mrs. Pauline Richardson of Alex City and Mrs. Edna Troutt of Portage, Ind.; two sons, Harles Charles Turley of Heflin and Joe Turley of Delta; two sisters, Mrs. Bell Carroll of Piedmont and Mrs. Maudie Hughes of Gadsden; 39 grandchildren, 78 great-grandchildren and a great-great- grandchild. Mrs. Shirey was a native of Galveston, Texas, and had lived in Clay County for 60 years. She had lived the past year in Randolph County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Shiloh Lineville Baptist Church.
