Anniston Star
J. D. Shults died at his home here last Wednesday night. He was 81 and had lived 
in this community 45 years. Funeral services were held at Barfield Baptist church 
of which he was a member, Friday morning. Services were conducted by the Rev. W. 
R. Ingram, The Rev. J. R. Steele and the Rev. Vaster Shultz. Active and honorary 
pallbearers were deacons of the church. Interment was in adjoining cemetery with 
Blair in charge. He is survived by his wife and three sons, Grady, Carrollton, 
Arvil, Dallas, Texas and Howard, Lineville.
